Rain tire brand Uniroyal has a special winter tire ready to go for the coldest months of the year. With a tread developed for wet and cold roads and wintry conditions, the WinterExpert offers high levels of safety and excellent grip. Also in production for drivers keen to equip their vehicle with an all-season tire optimized for wet conditions is the AllSeasonExpert 2. As a rain tire, it is designed to disperse water, but it also has additional sipes to enhance traction in the snow during the winter months. Both of these models from the current range have Shark Skin Technology; this means their tread grooves have a shark-skin structure that helps to disperse water particularly quickly. The Uniroyal tires can be fitted on passenger cars and SUVs powered by all drive system types.
Uniroyal WinterExpert
The Uniroyal WinterExpert has been developed to also offer excellent safety in cold and wet conditions. The tire’s directional tread disperses water and slush quickly. As well as the bionic shark-skin structure in its tread grooves, the WinterExpert also has a large number of sipes for increased grip in the snow. The full silica rubber compound for the tread ensures high levels of wet grip and low rolling resistance, which is important for saving fuel, reducing CO2 emissions, and keeping the energy requirements of electric vehicles low. The WinterExpert is available for wheel rims between 13 and 20 inches in diameter, with a total of more than 90 dimensions available for passenger cars and SUVs.
Uniroyal AllSeasonExpert 2
The AllSeasonExpert 2 all-season tire, with its directional tread optimized for wet conditions, provides rapid water dispersion in the rain and therefore effective protection from the dreaded aquaplaning. When driving on snow-covered roads, the geometry of the tire’s tread blocks and its system of sipes provide good grip, so that the forces necessary for pulling away, braking, and cornering can be transferred as required. For driving on dry roads, the engineers have equipped the tire with a stable central rib and robust shoulder blocks, which enable secure handling and high cornering stability. The AllSeasonExpert 2 is made for wheel rims with a diameter between 13 and 20 inches and is available in widths between 155 and 245 millimeters. Speed ratings will be between 190 and 300 km/h (118 and 186 mph), depending on the tire size. As well as the M+S marking, the all-season tire from Uniroyal also has the snowflake symbol required for winter use on its sidewall.
